what if love knew better
and had cause to wait
what if love decided to love
then chose to stay
what if love wanted love
as bad as love wanted else
what if love was willing,
all by itself
what if love considered
by the taking of a chance
what if love had settled
on just that one romance
what if love fought
for that which love believed
what if love surrendered
instead of being deceived
what if love would have
where might not had would be
what if love thought about it
and was all that love could see
what if love reached
and before then would climb
what if love remembered
and needed not another sign
what if love gave sufficient
by the notion of it’s plea
what if love was real,
and was thus supposed to be?
