There are
reasons
for believing
in ghost
but not in men
just as
it makes sense
to pretend
that things exist
that don’t
that things persist
that won’t
that miracles are
coincidence
prone
to interpretation
per suggestion
or incident
and ifs

cliffs fall
to bigger monsters
and dreams
come true
for impostors
and imaginations
are seen
as
options
that are like change,
constant
but not
for lack of
being sponsored
by fears
and limits
just
as thoughts
are
gimmicks
blemishes
in the skin
of accomplishment

what is endangered
is stranger
but made popular
by the same thing
there is
no such thing
as
happenstance
in capitalism
and racism
is the biggest joke
in history
fiction
the truth is
that we are all human
just different
you can’t separate
what is together
just distance
it
means nothing to say
listen
if you don’t

but there are reasons
to believe
in belief
as
relief
from what is
reality
the sense
of
guilt
that is
what
happens
actually,
the real.
