I will chase it,
and make it,
take it to the extreme
until I taste it
then I will only believe
that I should keep going
keep showing up
keep pushing,
keep throwing up
stay consistent
stay deliberate
KEEP SHOWING UP
no breaks
no excuses
no time off,
no use for it
I will persevere
I will plan
I will promote
I will prepare
and KEEP SHOWING UP
study and observe
explore and example
the less that I hesitate
the more I can handle
so I will stand there
face adversity
and applause
with acknowledgement,
and with cause
no deviation from the objective
NO PAIN, NO GAIN
is my perspective
and KEEP SHOWING UP
in spite of the chaos
despite the circumstances
regardless of any obstacle
however many chances
that it takes
if I have to bend
or bear
or break
whatever adjustment
that it takes,
I WILL KEEP SHOWING UP
to ensure my success
so that I give myself the opportunity
to do my best
so that I am the reason
that I get more
or do less
and yet, I WILL KEEP SHOWING UP
driven
determined
present
aware
whether it be meant for me,
out of my league,
against all odds,
or unfair
I WILL BE THERE
resident and seen
regardless of precedent
or scene
I will be,
I WILL BE,
there…

Until I have made it
then I will make it more
so that I can share what I know
to those who want to go
leave my lessons
expose my fault
for the purpose of transparency
to those I’ve taught
and being available
to share my way
because I kept showing up,
every day.
