Just because people are connected or close or comfortable with you, does not me anything more than that. In fact, it only means that!
The people around you might not be there because they are “just like you”; They might be there because THEY JUST LIKE YOU.
Do not assume that people are there “for” you. They are there for “who” you are. They are there for “what” you do. They are there because you give access and make yourself available to them. They are there because you are reliable/consistent/thorough in a way that only YOU can be. They are there FOR that! For the benefits and results that come with being attached to YOU.
And they will be there for as long as you continue to allow yourself to produce/provide what they are able to get from/out of you.
YOU have to stop expecting them to be you though! Stop assuming that they’ve got your back. Stop trusting your outcomes to their actions, their beliefs, or their support of you.
Because they are not you!!!
And people are going to show you that all the time.
That is where the letdowns and the disappointment and the dysfunction is sure to exist. Because you’re expecting a YOU out of people that are expecting YOU.
YOU are YOU.
So whatever you desire and demand out of this life for yourself, YOU are going to have to go and get, FOR YOURSELF!
No one has to get it for you. No one has to care about it for you. No one has to want it for you. No one has to sacrifice for it like you. No one has to prioritize it as you must.
And you’re doing that.
That is why they’re around. Because of who you are. Because of what you do. Because of how you do it.
Only you can do it like that. For you. The way you need it to be done.
YOU are YOU, and what comes with being YOU is the part they want to be attached to. That’s what they expect of you. That’s what your relationship with them is: YOUR being YOU, the way that you always are. The way you’ve always been. The way you’ll more than likely always be.
