•If you acknowledge it.
•If you accept the responsibility for it.
•If you aspire to fulfill your duties of it.
•If you absolutely believe it, in it, and that it is you who has it.
•If you acquire the skills needed to do it.
•If you assert yourself towards accomplishing it.
•If you abandon your fears of it.
•If you advertise yourself as it.
•If you avoid detours and distractions from it.
•If you act on it.
Having the “gift” is not all that comes with your gifting. The gift is yours. You were born with it. Or you learned it. Or you developed it. However you received it. The thing is that YOU have it.
Just know this:
IT IS GOING TO COST YOU!
There is a price that you will pay for a gift that you might have never asked for. And you will pay a lot! More than you ever thought you could afford to.
You will pay in time, energy, sacrifice, strength, feeling, and more. You will surrender and suffer the spectrum of all that you are, in order to ascend to the heights that your gift determine for you. You will experience the entire breadth of circumstances and situations, from challenge to triumph, as you pursue the full manifestation and materialization of this thing that is ultimately you.
Not many will ever understand what you actually do, or did, to get to where you’re going. Most will only assume, while never accepting, the full scope of your struggle, your sacrifice, or your seriousness. They will instead fight you, resist you, doubt you, discourage you, deny you, and do everything but support the development of you. Yet, they’ll be there. Right alongside you, causing chaos and interference, drama and mess, problems and controversy. Challenging your faith and your intention, doubting your character and integrity, pulling you back and away from your goals and plans. Almost, it seems, to get you to give up the thing that you want, or you work for, or are working on.
And still be the first ones in the line, expecting the benefits of and from you, when you win.
You have to stay committed. Stay the course. Stay the confident and consistent that you have to be. Know that “if” you do what must be done, you’ll get to do what you want to do.
That’s a picture of my son, checking out my newest book, “You Need You.”, as we were on our way to an appointment I arranged for him, to meet someone that could possibly assist in him realizing, materializing, and manifesting his goal, dream, gift. I asked him what he thought about the book and he said that he liked it, and he was excited for me. He says that the message that he got from the few pages that he read through were inspiring and motivating. He read a little bit of my intro (which is about him) and got to see, in my writing, just how much he and this journey mean to me.
I took the picture because I saw my “if” in that moment. I saw the realization of an idea, a feeling, a dream. Not many people know the incredible amount of sacrifice and suffering that I have endured to get to this point. That point being zero. I was at such a deficit for such a long time. Depressed, dysfunctional, distant, discouraged, disconnected, distorted. But determined. I refused to give up! I leveraged, and ultimately lost, almost everything. I paid a hefty price to get here. It was worth it.
“IF” YOU do what YOU have to when YOU need to because YOU must, then that’s when…
Your gift will do more than make room for you. It will make your dreams come true. It will make your circumstances, and situations, change. It will make a difference in this world. It will make an impact in your life and in the lives of your family and friends. It will make better some of the bad that you’ve been through. It will make up for everything and anything that you lost along the way.
Your gift will… “IF” you do.
